The Holiday of Giving

Sweet, unexpected Thanksgiving encounter! While eating at an Upper East Side diner on a Tuesday afternoon with friends, two men offered to pay for our entire meal. We insisted that this gesture was unnecessary but they persisted. We were confused what prompted these two strangers to do this until our waiter told us that it was because they knew we were Jewish and wanted to show their support during this difficult time. We were very appreciative of the kind gesture and are thankful this Thanksgiving that there are others who care and support us. This was a great story to kickoff Brightside News and a season of giving thanks!
